There
are more than a million non-profit organizations operating
across the country for a variety of causes; from education to
urban governance, from human rights to livelihood, tremendous
amounts of citizen time, energy and resources are being devoted
to the social sector. However, the internal challenges faced by
social entrepreneurs are as big as the problems they seek to
solve. Financial resources and skilled human resources are hard
to come by. Lack of project design and management skills makes
operations unorganized and chaotic, leading to inefficiencies
in the organizations. Technology adoption is slow and people
development is almost non existent. In short, unlike the
business sector, there is a severe lack of support
organizations that can service
the needs of the citizen sector organizations and help them
concentrate on social issues that they actually set out to
solve. We
help social organizations make distinctive, lasting, and
substantial improvements to the performance of their
organizations. We tackle their most difficult issues and
serious grass root level challenges. Some of the benefits for
organizations include systematic and structured support to
solve critical problems and more importunately, we provide
access to a wider, more influential network of key stake
holders, support groups and the community at large. The
Purpose of ITIHAS is to accelerate social change by helping
non-profit organizations strategize core functions and program
implementation at the grass-root level and by facilitating
mutually profitable relationships between social organizations
through collaboration and networking We
categorize our work into 3 broad areas: Citizen
Sector Organization Consulting:
Consulting
with the citizen sector is typically with regards to change
facilitation, process management, volunteering management
and motivation, scaling-up challenges, impact analysis and
practical implementation issues faced at the grassroots.
Corporate
CSR Program Consulting:
Corporate
Social Responsibility is becoming an Integral functional
component among the corporate sector. Focus on in house
programs, employee engagement and funding for the citizen
sector is on a rise. There is a stated need among this
sector to help to identity credible organizations and their
needs, and in designing of various programs for corporate
and employee engagement
